Angie’s Walhalla Cottage for two and a dog in Cornwall

Angie's Walhalla Cottage - perfect for a short break with dogs in Cornwall
Angie’s Walhalla Cottage

Our cottage

Tastefully converted in 1999, Angie’s Walhalla Cottage has a 4* Visit England Star Grading and has access to ten acres of land to meander in day or night. It is a peaceful haven to return to after the hustle and bustle of the Cornish day.

Catch the morning sun on the south facing patio and the evening sun at the ponds which can be found after a stroll through the fields. Seats and a BBQ are found at both sites and in the evening, with the setting sun, you can wind down listening to the many wild birds and perhaps catch a glimpse of the visiting wild deer.

The cottage caters for two people, is virtually on one level with a fully equipped kitchen, sitting dining room, double bedroom and separate bathroom with bath and shower.

The garden is fully enclosed and has ample safe parking, a garden shed to store the bikes or surf boards, and seats to relax in before or after your day.

Fistral Beach, Newquay by Thomas Tolkien

So why choose Walhalla?

It’s simple really; it is centrally based for the whole of Cornwall and offers privacy and comfort with all heating, hot water and electricity included in the price!

The wonderful beaches of Newquay and Watergate Bay can be accessed a 15 minute drive away. Padstow, the  Eden Project and Heligan a 20-25 minute drive and the A30 a 4 minute drive for those wishing to go south west and explore the Poldark scenery. If you wish to go north towards Polzeath, Rock or catch a look at Doc Martin country the A39 is a minute’s drive away.

Eating in

Fancy an evening not having to cook? Angie can provide ready made pies, quiches, lasagnas….and have you tried her cakes?! Ask for a sample price list.  Fresh produce is also available from the garden( when in season). Locally grown chemical free produce can be purchased (when in season) and eggs from our own happy hens a must to try!

  • Newquay Zoo – Cornwall’s award winning zoo with over 130 different types of animals.
  • Lost Gardens of Heligan – Wow! Definitely on my hit list….amazing gardens from the past that have been uncovered and found for you to now see and explore. A veritable feast for any historian or garden lover.
